Driving in the Rain!

It is raining pretty good today in Dallas, and my drive home was awesome! Every other car I have driven in the rain, does not like the puddles along the curb but the FR-S loves it. No hydroplaning, barely any lift at all. Stable and straight even at 50mph.

Silly question but can the car slide on wet surfaces even if you don't intend to?

Never driven an RWD car. The thought of driving in the rain (normal driving not racing) and going into a slide when I don't expect it scares me a bit.

this is just a RWD car... and no its not all that different than a FWD car. never understood why people are so scare of driving this car even if they never driven a RWD before. many generations before have dont it, you can too.

I routinely see traction control working like a dog when in the rain. If you turn off the nannies it reaaallllyyy likes to go sideways. Fair warning.

I live in Oregon sooooo ya, lots of rain.

close to 50/50 distribution + LSD = easy to slide out
but electronic traction control + drive by wire should do a good job to help you!
Always keep it easy on the throttle during the turn, avoid stomping or lifting suddenly.

Honestly, that looks like a lot of fun to try.

Just drove in the rain in my brz.... What I noticed is it's pretty grippy unless you purposely floor the accelerator(well duh!). I went ahead and had fun too and went to a empty parking lot.. turned off all traction.. and did donuts easily lol
