Backup lights

Sorry if this was asked previously but what are the cheapest most reliable led backup lights that are significantly brighter than OEM. I'm a fan of Diode dynamics but don't want to pay 40 for their product

Anyone have experience with these?

Ebay & reliable don't mix

Edit: didn't notice, those were samsung ones, had them on my old s2000 and they lasted for awhile

so a finally bought a set and im having the hardest time installing them. not sure which direction to turn but it wont budge

Yeah, the bulb harness is in the socket pretty good. It was tricky because I didn't know the bulb went in at a 45 degree to the bumper, not perpendicular or parallel. Once I realized that, twisting the harness out wasn't hard.

thanks for answering, i'm literally under the bumper and can see the bulb harness but can not twist it out. i'm twisting it counter-clockwise. it says clockwise to lock so I assume i'm doing the right thing. gonna try again later. was wondering do I have to pull/push or do anything special besides twist very hard.

Nothing else. I just had to twist pretty hard. :\

This was my inexpensive fix to adding much needed light at night in reverse. The license plate frame is from Walmart maybe $3.50 and cobb lights from ebay for $5. The frame is a U channel that allows for wiring to be routed and spliced.

This is it powered up. I dont have any night pictures, but have been using them for about 6 months and its a night and day difference.

This is who I got them from. I bought some cheaper ones for another seller but they were not near as bright. These were worth the extra $2.50.

I would get it at SuperbrightLED. Cheaper than DD, a bit more than eBay, but quality is higher.

I would check out acme or morimoto products from the retrofit source.

I suggest taking a look at our research section to educate yourself about what to look for when buying automotive lighting. Even if you decide not to purchase from us, it never hurts to have the facts!
