Dealer has 2 FR-S
My local stealership has 2 FR-S both in automatic :/ White and black. They were bothed marked with a "Market Adjustment" of 3999 and 5000? I thought Scion had true pricing? What happened to that? :) Just wanted to let anyone know in the Tennessee area that was looking for an automagic. Cool Springs Toyota/Scion.

these dealership ought to be reported to Scion USA or just blew them up sky high! :paddle:

Scion does have true price. All that means is that the dealer is required to post that markup on the website when you look up the car. Scion/ Toyota cannot legally force anyone to sell a car for a specific amount of money - its actually not legal (price fixing).
Punish them in the best way possible - buy your new FR-S somewhere else. |

Doesn't Apple force it's merchants to sell at a specific price, as part of their contract?
|
Price fixing is an agreement between two different manufacturers as to the sale price, not the manufacturer and it's distributors.

The kind of mark-ups I've been seeing have me considering buying other vehicles. The FR-S is great, but for +30k it is not worth it. It is neither luxorious enough, nor fast enough. Yes, it handles great, but that doesn't impulse me to dump +30k.
The idea was for a Light, RWD, Fun, and Affordable. I think I stick to my current 01' Corolla 2zz swap for a little while longer. Does anyone know if one of these Marked Up Scions have sold? |
