Certainly does sound nice, I'm likely to regret selling it.

Do you know if this exhaust is louder or quieter than the Invidia Q300?

I have not heard it in person, but I would have to assume it is about the same. The TRD has a smaller resonator and muffler which would typically make it louder but it has smaller diameter pipes in comparison to the q300.

Thanks. I wish I could get someone who has heard both the Q300 and the TRD exhausts to tell me which is the quieter at idle, under moderate load, and at full throttle.

I want to pull the trigger on the quietest exhaust, but without actual data, it's hard to make the decision.

Thanks though.

I hear you. The only issue you are going to have is that adding other parts to the exhaust line will change the tone and loudness. Adding catless headers will increase the sound, HFC front pipe will change the sound, etc...

If you are are just doing a CBE both will probably be equally as good. Toyota would not put out a dealer sold accessory that is obnoxiously loud. The Q300 is also known for its tameness.

I am running a catless UEL with Zeta CBE and it is a bit to loud for me so I will be getting a resonated front pipe with HFC to tame it.

Finally, last weekend I added 80mil sound deadening material, GTMAT, to my trunk (took me about 2 hours to install) and it made a noticeable difference in exhaust cabin noise. It was around $60 on Amazon and I would highly recommend doing it as it removes much of the resonance in the trunk area which is funneled into the main cabin.

That's my complaint. (Cabin Noise) It's a relatively quiet exhaust at cruise and Idle. I noticed most noise going up hill. and down a hill, off the throttle.
I like the sound but wasn't happy with the added cabin noise. I guess I was spoiled having a BMW previously.
I could do the sound deadening route but wasn't looking for more work to do on the car.
In the end, if no one is interested, I may just squirrel it away if I ever get inspired to sound deaden the car.
I've never heard the Q300 so I can't offer any advise there as a comparison.
