I want to pull the trigger on the quietest exhaust, but without actual data, it's hard to make the decision. Thanks though. |

If you are are just doing a CBE both will probably be equally as good. Toyota would not put out a dealer sold accessory that is obnoxiously loud. The Q300 is also known for its tameness. I am running a catless UEL with Zeta CBE and it is a bit to loud for me so I will be getting a resonated front pipe with HFC to tame it. Finally, last weekend I added 80mil sound deadening material, GTMAT, to my trunk (took me about 2 hours to install) and it made a noticeable difference in exhaust cabin noise. It was around $60 on Amazon and I would highly recommend doing it as it removes much of the resonance in the trunk area which is funneled into the main cabin. |
That's my complaint. (Cabin Noise) It's a relatively quiet exhaust at cruise and Idle. I noticed most noise going up hill. and down a hill, off the throttle.
I like the sound but wasn't happy with the added cabin noise. I guess I was spoiled having a BMW previously. I could do the sound deadening route but wasn't looking for more work to do on the car. In the end, if no one is interested, I may just squirrel it away if I ever get inspired to sound deaden the car. I've never heard the Q300 so I can't offer any advise there as a comparison. |
