Thanks. May have been the comment about Invidia q300 muffler shape being aero-friendly - otherwise no aero plans for me - the stock setup with OEM wing on monogram works perfectly fine for me.

What a day - at NJMP Lightning with PCA RTR since Friday. Started on racer take offs Toyo Proxes RR slicks mounted at Thunderbolt last weekend. Discovered this morning before the first session that one tire started to splice and would have corded in a session or two. Went to town, no performance tires available. Drove 55min to TireRack in Delaware to pick up new 255/40-17 Toyo Proxes RA1 for my 17x9 RPF1. Had them mounted and balanced at nearby Chevy dealership. Got back to track well before the first afternoon session. Drive back from Delaware and first 3 laps scrubbed the manufacturing "grease", then off to beating my best time ever by precisely (to 1/100) one second. Not bad. Tomorrow is day 3, let's see how things go :)

Bought a spare used 2014 engine that's going to Phil @Element Tuning for rebuild by year end, then install by EFI Logics before the 2017 track season. Depending on how the new build works on track, my current engine may also go for rebuild in mid-late 2017.

You don't need two engines! I'll buy one!

Ha! I was fully prepared to drop off my car at Element Tuning at the end of the season to have the engine work done this winter, then I realized that having a spare engine and paying $300 for shipping each way and having it installed locally by EFI Logics makes a lot more sense. Having serious down time in the middle of the track season due to engine problems is not worth it to me and this is my 3rd track season on the stock engine (knock on wood). Still on the fence if I want the spare engine to be built but it could come handy for me and for other people in the area who track their twin a lot and have an engine failure at the wrong time. I'm definitely keeping this car for a while :)

UPDATE: Selected Outfront Motorsports in Cali to build the 2015 motor I just bought.

Looking for a used engine again. Seller asked if I wouldn't mind to give it up for his friend who just blew his engine and off it goes for a good cause. I don't have any issues with my engine so no rush. Evaluating two builders now with help from my guardian angel.

Found a used engine and transmission (no issues with mine but the 2015 engine will be built and will replace mine, and the transmission will be kept as a spare): http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106454

Also, selected Outfront Motorsports to build the 2015 engine to specs reviewed by @CSG Mike...this will be good, very good.

Fun with P-cars June 24-26 at the NJMP Lightning racetrack. Testing new JRZ double adjustable dampers, also spliced my racer take-offs Toyo Proxes RR slicks by the end of day 1, noticed first thing in the am on day 2 so had to spend the morning on 6/25 driving to a TireRack warehouse in Delaware to get new 255/40-17 Toyo Proxes.

I did too! But, decided to follow advice from @CSG Mike to the letter, so that's where the cards fell. It's going to be a very very nice build, modest power gains on JRSC C38 on 93 octane fuel, quality parts and WPC treatment all the way! Expensive but well worth it to complete the build. @CSG Mike is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to twins, including build blueprints - glad he could help out, including an in-person visit to the shop to discuss and modify the initial proposal! Couldn't pay him enough for what his advice is worth, brilliant recommendations for many upgrades to date.
