What is the tendency for a tune car during idle? Is your car tuned?

I'm pretty sure at cold start it doesn't idle as high as at stock

See, this is what people need, someone giving guidance through experience and knowledge.

Depending on where you are in NC, try getting with Sharif at Forged Performance for tuning. They're just north of Atlanta, they have a dyno, and he's great with ECUtek.

Okay so ive searched and searched and this is the only place i found something similar to what im experiencing. I live in the caribbean and here its RHD so we get alot of used vehicles directly from japan. I got my 86 yesterday and upon doing some spirited driving i noticed the car would rev match as soon as i depress the clutch. I havent tried out launch control or flat foot shifting as i just read about that here. The thing is, is there anything such as ecutek in japan? Does anyone here know of the tuning options there? Also, this car has no cruise control, so is there any other way to check for saved maps? It is pretty frickin awesome though i wont lie. No need to heel and toe, perfect rev match everytime. BTW, the car is alot faster than i expected after reading all the hate out there. I think the power is just right, unless ofc this car has some mods hiding somewhere. Any input would be appreciated.

You don't even have a cruise control stalk? Is it possible someone flashed the car with an open flash tablet? I'm pretty sure OFT offers rev matching as of recently, I wouldn't know as I have an auto with OFT. I'd also check the car for a header or exhaust mod you can't see or hear the difference of yourself.

If its a manual and it rev matches then it definitly been tuned. and the only software i know that does rev matching is ecutek.

i believe ecutek can do map switching using the rear window defrost button on cars without cruise control stalk.

i think you hold rear defrost button or other buttons depending on programming down for a few seconds, not sure of proceedure best ask an ecutek person.

The problem is you wont know what each of the 4 maps are configured for.

Thanks for the input guys. Ill definitely check the exhaust and header when it goes on the ramp today. Gonna try out the launch control and flat foot and tell u how it goes. I checked ecutek website and saw they have loads of tuners in Japan and Ecutek japan themselves are located in Nagoya. Now there is one ecutek tuner here in my country. Do you think he will be able to tell me what the different maps are?
