got a new frs, opticoat it?

my poor new hot lava will be hot lava. i don't have a garage anymore or at my work it's no longer covered.

I was suggested to get clay bar, polish asap and perhaps opticoat? or maybe cquartz?

if opticoat is over $500+ i will save that for a wrap lol

I'd suggest you get your car opticoated. I didn't and I really wish I did. I don't know about price, but the paint is thin and chips really easily.

clear bra the front and opti coat the rest!

wish i went the extra step with the clear Bra up front

optio coat doesnt help with rock chips

and depedning on where you go and how much prep your paint may need before the opti coat (swirl remover, etc etc) it may deff be 500+ dollars for it
remeber, once you optio coat, any inperfections in the paint will be there for good

Opti Coat Pro was done to my car last month....best $395.00 spent....car didn't need much paint correction since it was only a month old....I should have put on a clear bra before doing it.....Yup, so just Opti Coat it!...the guy who did mine put Opti Seal over the Opti Coat Pro....He also did my rims and all my headlights & tail lights. :):D

do u think timing matters? better late than never or nahh

I did opticoat pro for $400, I wish I had done it earlier along with a clear bra. Rock chips are a real enemy.

If you have the spare $$$ just do it! IMHO never too late. :)

yes timing does matter IMO, the older the paint, the more prep the paint will need before applying optio coat (i.e. swirl removal with compound and polish)

better to do it asap IMO

Opti-coated my car the day after I brought it home from the dealer. $400 for the whole car + wheels, and water continues to bead off of it over 2 years later. If you don't want to spend time waxing your car every wash, Opti-coat is for you. If you enjoy waxing your car on a regular basis, save the $400 and spend it on wax.

Do it!

I have the same car colour. Got it opticoated. Honestly - I just rinse it down once a week and it takes me 10-15 mins. Easiest maintenance ever. Time > Money in my case.

In case you were curious about the shine it also adds.

I got my car opti-coated a few days after purchase. Cheapest time to do it due to a minimal need for paint correction. 10 months later it still looks great, water beads nicely, no swirls from washing either. (I use a foam lance, rinse it, and then use ONR.)

I recently just bought the Yuzu RS 1.0. Should I add in this OptiCoat Pro on it? The dealer was offering Simoniz Glass Coat for $800 , which just sounds ridiculous. What is normal price for applying opticoat ? I went to the opticoat webiste and there seems to be one dealer near my location.
