BBK fitment question
HI,
I plan to upgrade to 18” wheel in the near future. I do not have budget now, but I also plan to upgrade the BBK when I have budget. What’s the suggestion (or minimum requirement) for the width of the ET value for 18” wheel in order to fit BBK without using spacer? (I have STI pink spring, so it is around 15 mm drop) I know that might also need to consider the shape of the wheel, but I just want to have a roughly idea to select my wheel now. Thanks a lot. |
It's wheel specific... there's no (common) generic measurement, unfortunately.

My Enkei Raijins are 18x9.5 with -45 offset and with very wide 265 Michelin Pilot Super Sports (which run a bit wider than other brand tires I'm told) I have a perfect flush fit in the rear with no issues.
The 18x8.5 fronts with the same offset (-45) and 245 MPSS tires could use a 5 or 10mm spacer to be perfectly flush. Others have run the 9.5's same offset in front, but you need coilovers to clear the springs and perches on the inside. As already stated, it varies wheel to wheel, but these numbers can give you ballpark as to what you can stuff into the fenderwells. |
Caliper clearance is entirely dictated by (in order of decreasing importance) 1) spoke design, 2) offset, and 3) wheel width.

Any idea for SSR GTV03 18'' wheel? http://www.ssr-wheels.com/wheels/gtv03.asp Thanks. |
@cslntuee only way to know is to provide the template to SSR and see if they can measure for you.
