Bay Area: Window Tinting Recommendations
Hello everyone! Anyone know of a good place to go to for window tints? I don't want to pick a bag out of a hat sort to speak with yelp and end up wasting time and money.
Anyone have any recommendations? Also looking for suggestions in % on a CBS. I was thinking of darkening out the back window & two small windows completely. The front however....I want some tint but not much. On my BMW previously the tint in front was too much. Got pulled over all the time. Looking to go lighter, but was wondering what fellow drivers in the Bay Area thought. Thanks. |
I went to Computerized Tinting in San Jose to get mine. I went with 40% on the driver and passenger windows, 30% on the little quarter panel windows, and 20% on the rear. I haven't had any issues (knock on wood) with getting attention and I think the tint looks just right for me.

Canlas Mobile Tint, located in San Jose. I currently have 30% on the 3 rear windows. Looking at scheduling another appointment to tint my driver/passenger at 40%
my buddy @ck-GT86 can vouch for this |
Rocky Mountain Tint, Livermore, highly recommended, 20 years plus in business, booked for a month in advance, my Frs turned out nice

No one uses search anymore. There are at least two other threads discussing this.
