Certified car with aftermarket parts

Bought a CPO 2013 BRZ premium last month. Had a problem, on the way home (2 hour drive), tpms light was flashing, apparently needed to be reprogrammed by dealer. So finally got around to taking it in to a different dealer closer to my house, they said the system was programmed to four totally different sensors...weird. So i figured the car must previously have had a different set of wheels and tires that the previous owner removed. Not too surprising, though it is a 2013 model car that went into service in late 2012, that as of November 2014 had <4k miles.

Anyway, i was poking around yesterday and for some reason i noticed that my springs were bright yellow....odd, i have seen some videos and they were black...oh it's because they are racecomp engineering lowering springs. Pretty sure that isn't supposed to happen on CPO vehicles.

As an admittedly mechanical novice, is there anything I should check to make sure there wasn't a really poor install done? Also, it puts me in an unusual situation with the CPO warranty...
Car drives great though!

Lowering spring applications either work or they don't usually! It's easy to tell if they fudged up the seal in the struts (the only real damaging thing they could have done and overlooked, even if following best practices and assuming they tightened everything back up to spec)- they'll clunk and whatnot.

Those are our RCE Yellow springs. They lower the car 20mm front and rear with springs rates of 250 lbs/in front and rear. They also come with replacement bumpstops front and rear. It's a pretty mild drop compared most other springs out there which means they ride and handle pretty well since you still have some travel to work with. We focused on function.

I am a little surprised to see them on a CPO car.

But honestly, you don't have anything to worry about with the springs. The shocks will last a long time and it sounds like you're enjoying the ride. :) As with any new car (even new off the showroom floor), I'd check the alignment. But if they're not making noise or clunking, you're probably good to go in terms of install.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
