Catback exhaust that eliminates drone!?

Hello everyone, so I wanted to have an all TOMEI exhaust system setup. but i realized its too loud for me and maybe...for the state of California. I have the TOMEI EL header, Tomei overpipe, and Straight pipe. and Im about to sell the Tomei titanium 60s exhaust on Saturday. i put back the stock exhaust on. so its not that loud but i noticed that i have a lot of drone. i need to buy an exhaust that's not too loud and that eliminates all drone. any suggestions.

the invidia exhaust is very popular because it is made very well. You will not have QC concerns

It's hard to find an exhaust without drone. Most exhausts drone, but the Invidia just as mentioned above is one of those that have the least amount of drone that I've experienced. Sold quite a lot of them in fact, great system that's made very well.

Welds look really good for being robotic TIG welds. The exhaust is really well put together and fitment is great. If you have any issues at all when you purchase an Invidia exhaust, they fully back it.

My Q300 makes my catless header, overpipe, and catted front pipe setup sound real tame unless I really get on it. The intake is the loudest part on my car.

You are correct. It's their main office that's on shore, but their fabrications are done in Taiwan.

No drone whatsoever with Ark Grip exhaust. Has a pitch (c#) but it's not too prominent. It really rips up top though with a straight through exhaust!

If you're already getting drone with the stock CBE, will an aftermarket exhaust really help?

I would think it would just be louder unless it happened to muffle the exact pitch(es) that you're getting drone in.

Just my 2c.

+1

notice OP has eliminated secondary cat with straight pipe.

OP you probably goiung to need to install an extra resonator where the secondary cat was and keep a resonator in the catback to have any chance of elminating drone. the stock secondary cats seem to do a good job reducing volume and drone (resonance) in exhaust. Even metalised high flow cat will help but resonator is probably better and cheaper. unless you put the stock secondaty cat back in.
