Ecutek help: unable to choose rom file in Programming Tools software

I've just had a sprintex kit installed and tuned by an ecutek tuner. Then tonight I tried to get some datalogs using my own cable kit. Successfully downloaded the ProECU software, followed instructions to Detect Vehicle, and after clicking on Program Engine ECU and then Query ECU, a new window pops up like so asking me to choose my ROM file:

Here's where I'm getting stuck.....there's nothing for me to select from :iono:

It's showing other details such as ECU version, and compatible rom files.

I can't seem to proceed further with data logging because I need to choose/open the ROM file that my tuner loaded.

What am I doing wrong or missed?

It's been a while since we used Ecutek but I'm guessing you need to click on the Choose ROM file button and then navigate through your folders to whatever tune file your tuner emailed you. Or did you not receive any tune file?

That's for actually programming the ECU with a ROM file. To datalog you:
Open ECUtek
File > Open ROM
Select ROM - Does not have to be the same ROM, but same RR version and same ROM type is necessary to avoid possible logging conflicts.
Select parameters to log

If you don't have a file then either email your tuner or you can create your own by selecting an A00G file in the downloaded ROMs and attach the RaceROM v7 patch to it.

Ah yes I think that's the reason....my tuner didn't send me the rom file lol.

I'll request for it.

By the way, can I use a "married" OFT to datalog an ecutek tune?

Yes you can use an OFT for datalogging/display/diagnostic purposes on any tuned ECU.

So I don't need the actual rom file the tuner flashed on my car, just an A00G will do?

By the way mine originally came with A01G. Is the A00G rom an older version or just different region rom?

Does the A00G have the DI seal "fix" in it?

Same ROM type (A00G) is necessary for the logging addresses to work correctly, the same with the racerom patch for the logging of the ECUtek specific logging but the actual file doesn't have to be the same. So ideally the same file should be used so that there is no mismatch however it's not required. Worst case is that some of the parameters will be off.

Just use the provided A00G and patch it with RR7 and I think you'll be fine.
