So what is the function of the rear 02 trim ?
why is all that code in ecu ?

"Closed Loop Fueling Target Compensation (Rear O2) Limits (Max)" – This is the max closed loop fueling
target adder based on rear o2 input. The factory default is set to an extreme value so that the limit never
comes into play. However, this can be set to zero to eliminate this compensation on the positive side.
• "Closed Loop Fueling Target Compensation (Rear O2) Limits (Min)" - This is the min closed loop fueling
target adder based on rear o2 input. The factory default is set to an extreme value so that the limit never
comes into play. However, this can be set to zero to eliminate this compensation on the negative side.
• "A/F Learning #3 Limits (Max/Min)" - These are the max and min values for the long-term fuel trim based on
rear o2 input. The factory defaults are set to extreme values so that the limits never come into play. However,
these can be both set to zero to eliminate the influence of the rear o2 based long-term fuel trim.
· "A/F Correction #3 Limits (Max/Min)" – These are max and min values for the short-term fuel trim based on
rear o2 input. The factory defaults are set to extreme values so that the limits never come into play. However,
these can be both set to zero to eliminate the influence of the rear o2 based short-term fuel trim.
· "A/F Correction #3 Adder (Increase) A", "...(Increase) B"), "...(Decrease) A", and "...(Decrease) B" – These are
the adders to the short-term rear o2 based fueling correction. Setting all four to zero will remove the influence
of the rear o2 based short-term fuel trim

A bit more in depth, sure. As I said before, all of these compensations are disabled in our Flex Fuel tunes.

I dont believe I have seen this question as of yet. But since I just went back to 91 (supposedly no ethanol, straight 91) i noticed that the app still displays 10% ethanol and never goes lower.

Is the 10% the lowest limit on ethanol?

Not that i really give a damn about ethanol content below 10%. I just want to make sure everything is running correctly. Especially before dyno day tomorrow.

10% is typically the minimum amount of ethanol put in today's pump gas fuel. Just about every fuel in the US now has at least 8-10% ethanol in it. There are special pumps in some states that have ethanol free gas, but they're few and far between!

True. But should the app show below 10%, or is 10% the limit?

The APP has no limits; it will go from 0% all the way to 100%.

Cool beans. Thank you sir. Lets me know what "100% gas - no ethanol" is worth at the gas station. Worth about as much as E85 actually being 85% ethanol.

I love the flex fuel kit, and being able to read the ethanol content is great....but the
app is always giving me bad news on E content. :)

Ignorance was bliss.

Those ethanol free gasses aren't that great anyways ;)

Oh I agree. I love ethanol. It's just the principle of the station charging more for it, while they advertise 100% gas.

That's a valid point. Oh well, now you know you can get the normal stuff for cheaper with the same results ;)

Update for you folks that are following this thread but not necessarily our others: We've released an update to our Flex Fuel kits that implement new safety features based on an additional fuel pressure sensor. This has been one of our major holdbacks in releasing the iOS application, as this upgrade needed to be completed first. iOS will be following very shortly but for now, check out the link below!

Will those features be included if you buy a new flex fuel kit from now on?

It is an additional, optional upgrade that can be included at time of purchase. Some folks don't want the additional features, so we need to be able to have an offering for them that doesn't include it and retains the same pricetag as before.

DeliciousTuning 06-21-2016 06:24 PM

Update: Today our Android application has been updated to include live fuel pressure. This goes hand in hand with our Mark 1 + Upgrade, which incorporates a fuel pressure sensor into the system. We have also added automatic display orientation switching, so folks with hard mounted tablets will have the app always displaying in the correct position. Now that these changes have been made, we expect our iOS app to be following closely after.

Really digging this kit, few quick questions though.

1. Instead of a flex fuel of 91/E85, is it possible to tune for 93/E85?

2. If I decided to go back to stock, can I sell the flex fuel kit to another 86'er with them being able to use it?

Thanks in advance!

Won't the person purchasing it need an Ecutek dongle+license+FlexFuel tune to be able to use it?

I was simply referring to just the flex fuel module.

We haven't had any customers bring that up as an issue thus far.

im not familiar with that particular unit but if you set the gauge to read lambda it should be fine hopefully the alarms etc can be set to lambda

lambda=1 is 14.7 afr on petrol and 9.8 afr on E85

If it was me. Just an opinion here. I would sell the aem and then get the delicious in house fail safe. That way everything is matching and is proven together. Just an opinion

BRZtoni 08-03-2016 12:02 AM

great customer service - continue to do business with them due to that fact.

Is the app on the iPhone yet? I can't seem to find it

privfaith 11-09-2016 12:23 AM

Is there any way we can get the Ethanol % tracked through the android Torque App? I currently use an OBDII bluetooth device connected to my headunit to track oil and water temps and would love to consolidate devices.

Wish I would have seen this before the appointment at the shop in 2 days...

Maybe a drop down option on the pages for flex fuel kits would be a better solution.

Nevermind, @byun pointed out I'm a jackass.

There is a check box on the flex fuel kit page to add the upgrade...

Haha, I wish I was having the work done by y'all but I'm in Texas and I'm going to PRT Performance. I'll just get the +1 and have it added when I put on my JRSC in a couple months.
