Like many others, I would like to see an OFT support for this. I feel like it would open up some sales for you guys as well unless you have an EULA with ECUtek

Right now we're only tuning for EcuTek on these cars. However, if there's another tuner that does OFT that would like to develop a Flex Fuel tune that works with our kit, we have absolutely no qualms with that. In fact, we'd love to see it, as you said it helps us with sales and helps get those with OFT Flex Fuel capability.

There's nothing inherent with the kit itself that would prevent it from being used with tuning solutions other than EcuTek. :)

Sincerely,

Zach

Will this work with a Vortech supercharger as well? Assuming all the Ecutek set-up, etc...

Got mine installed last week and uploaded the tune today.
Hopefully the cool dry weather will stay with me this weekend so I can play with it.

Here is a link to my dyno and my very quick first impressions at the bottom of a Works Motorsports thread. :)

Easiest install ever. Mine didn't come with velcro or the fuel line removal tool, though. I had some double sided automotive tape used for body kits so i used that to stick the "D" box to the fuse box after cleaning both surfaces with alcohol. It's not going anywhere. Also went to AutoZone and bought a pack of cheap fuel line removal tools, the little round plastic things. Other than that it was a 15 minute install. Keep in mind I'm an idiot, which means anyone can do this.

Any news on the Android app?

You were one of the earlier boxes, so now all of the new shipments come with fuel line removal tools and automotive grade velcro :). Android app will be out very soon, it's a top priority right now so it shouldn't be long. Hopefully by end of month. We're doing end user testing with our smart phones on our personal vehicles right now.

Delicious Flex Fuel installed

1 Attachment(s)
Kit took me an hour to install as I went extremely slow, double checking as I went along.
Looks OEM, I like

Ran some logs on 95 RON for Bill to verify the Flex Fuel tune is good for our conditions, then time to add some Ethanol.

Btw, can Octane Booster be used with 95 RON with a Flex Fuel kit/Tune @DeliciousTuning

Hey Ryan,

You can use octane booster on the Flex Fuel setup, but it won't give you any additional benefit over E85 itself. In addition, I'm not sure about South Africa, but here it's much more economical to just fill up with E85 and forget about the octane booster. More power and less money spent :)

installed kit and tune. codes p013A and p013E popped up which are 02 sensor related. Are these suppose to be disabled by the tune. @sales@delicioustuning.com any ideas?

brianhj 03-11-2015 11:17 AM

You connected it to the rear o2 sensor right? The connector in the middle (of the 3)

My impressions on the kit

I'd like to share my impressions on this kit, but first let me share a bit of the back story with my car and FI.

-- back story

My car is my daily driver, and weekend autocross car.

I mounted my Innovate Motorsports SC on July 4th, 2013. I believe I was one of the first 12 people to get this kit on their car. At that point in time my car had 34.4K miles on the odometer.

I had my car dynoed at Infamous Performance on their Mustang before I put the intercooler on. We got a peak of 217/178 to the wheels.

I had been on a stock header until mid January this year when a catch-can overflow incident lead to the destruction of the cat in the factory header. I ended up replacing it with a Tomei EL. With only a disabling of the secondary O2 sensor in the tune, I immediately noticed a difference in the high end power with the header. At this point I am still on 91 octance.

Around the end of January this year I was able to get one of the FlexFuel BlueTooth Kits for EcuTeK ProECU RaceROM on my car. At this point I had been running the 75mm pulley and CARB tune for over 40K miles as I now had 76K on my odometer.

-- impressions

Wow. We haven't dynoed the car again, but I'd say it feels like it has at least 260+/215+ (Mustang) to the wheels w the 75mm pulley, maybe more when the Ethanol content is peak.

I had local friends who had been on FlexFuel with the Innovate Kit telling me about how nice the FlexFuel was in their cars. I knew it made more power based on the dyno sheets I'd seen. But actually driving my car with FlexFuel was amazing. The car runs so much smoother, has significantly more power (by the butt dyno), and pulls hard all the way to redline.

It is way faster on course too. I had an event steward who had driven my car last year ride along with me on a safety run at a local event recently, and after the run he said "...your car has a lot more power than I remember." :)

Last weekend I competed in the SCCA Solo2 National Tour in San Diego. There were several present and former national champion drivers in my class. In the first day of competition I was in third (0.015 seconds out of second place), and after the second day I ended up in sixth (with only .2 seconds between 4th-6th). This would imply that my car is a Nationally competitive SM car, and the FlexFuel kit is a critical component of the necessary power to have that status.

I've got the SCCA Pro Solo National Tour event in El Toro coming up this weekend, and I'm eagerly awaiting the chance to once again prove that the Delicious tuning FlexFuel kit will be one of my primary weapons in the difficult battle to come.

Feel free to reply or contact me via PM if you'd like to ask specific questions about my experiences wit the kit.

P.S. Here's a video from last weekend that shows the car on course. You can get a feeling of the acceleration and speed of the car.

e-85 kit

I just picked up a kit ,but I do not see the info for the Bt App where do you get it ?

xkalelx 03-30-2015 07:36 AM

x2 for an update on when this app is going to get released.

Another satisfied customer here. Been on flex for about a week with no complaints or issues. Thanks for Zach and Bill for their excellent customer service! This feels like a different car!

DeliciousTuning 03-30-2015 02:29 PM

App is still in testing phases to make sure everything is functioning properly. In the meantime, ethanol content can be viewed via Custom Map P results with EcuTek logging for all of our Flex Fuel tunes should anyone be interested what their ethanol content is. :)

Zach

Hi All,

We are developing the Android Application in house. We have been extremely busy and we really fell behind on releasing the application on the Google PlayStore, we do apologize for the delay. But now that we have caught back up with our work load we are getting back onto the Android Application to get it out as soon as possible. Once again this is being done 100% in house, so it took a little longer than expected.

For those of you who were not aware we are also now offering FlexFuel kits for the following vehicles.

2015+ Subaru WRX
2004-2015 Subaru STI
2008-2014 Subaru WRX
2006-2007 Subaru WRX

We also have a couple more in development.

Cheers,
William Knose

Any news on the Application...seems that it takes realy long now...Kitt is in and running..but to plug in a laptop every time to view the E content is stupid

As we do not run E from the pump so each time is a home mix and a hope .
Pls speed up..or just release the E function ..the rest can come later.

This is why I sent my kit back We were never told there was no App ready, other guy's are send them back also.Yes it is stupid to have to plug a laptop in every time to view e-85 %

It must be rough having such an inconsistent gas station that you need to verify the content of your fuel every fill up. It must be even harder having a system that automatically adjusts for that content. :D jk..... i hope it comes out soon as well.

I had to use this for my Celica back before I realized a 5-10% difference in content did nothing notably different for me. :)

Getting impatient on this as well. Please announce a solid release date of the BT app and try to hit that target date.

Warm regards

Isn't the whole point of the system not to have to read your ethanol content? It adjusts auto-magic-ally. I'm happy that my kit works and I don't have to do anything extra, i just fill up and enjoy. That's the whole point of computers, right? They're supposed to take the human out of the equation and automate things. When the app comes out, yeah I'll download it just for completeness sake, but unless I'm in a competitive racing series it really doesn't matter if my ethanol content is E70 vs E85.

You are right , but some of us like the detail and playing around. IF we had E85 on the feul pump great.. But in Dark Africa we only have 95 Octane and we need to home mix \ top up if you get the idea. So for going to the track and strip racing it is nice to see the mix and know if you need to top up more \ to get to the mix you prefur.

Yes , the Laptop does the same. However selling a product with the BT as part of the KIT was the expectation. So either call the spade and spade the app will not happen \ refund me for the BT fuction or deliver the promise.

The Hardware and Tune .. took a while for me to get it to run , but it is in and I am very happy... even promiting it with the local 86 team club members to explore the product.. it is just the software that is missing..

Have to give a shoutout @DeliciousTuning

I had a customer bring in his new Delicious Flexfuel kit about a week ago, and it is fantastic! The bracket is an excellent add on as well. Installation is very straight forward and the inclusion of the fuel line removal tool is great for anyone doing this at home. I can't recommend this kit enough. Well done Delicious!
