Search doesn't allow 3 letter keywords
 

I'm having troubles all the time with the forum search. A lot of brands or abbreviation have 3 letters only. So when I search i.e for AVO, or TRD or PVC i won't get any results.

If I combine the words with other words, it doesn't take them into account. So when I search for "TRD spoiler" or "AVO turbo" I'll get a bunch of threads with "spoiler" respectively "turbo".

Am I doing something wrong, or is the search just stupid?


(it doesn't matter if i add a "+" or "AND" between the words)

Use google to search the topic and add ft86club at the end of the search terms. You will get much better results. So "TRD spoiler ft86club".

Use this format:

keyword site:http://site/domain/forum

So example:

AVO site:http://www.ft86club.com/forums

Gets you:

http://i.imgur.com/zqlShjJ.png

I don't think I have ever seen a vBulletin forum that allowed three letter searches. I figure it would crash their software.
