The orchard by my parents house has air cannons that fire off at certain intervals. Maybe something small scale like an timed paintball gun with no paint. They can get pretty loud. Def want compressed air over C02 though for operating costs. You could get a really big tacky lawn ornament and hide the paintball gun inside of it, so your neighbors don't think you're a terrorist. I'm picturing a smiling scarecrow. you know, straw hat flannel shirt coveralls, with a compressed air tank in his body and the paintball marker barrel coming out of his mouth. You could even wire up his arm to make him give the sky the finger...
