What did you pay in NorCal?

Hi all!

I've been drooling over the FRS ever since it came out and now that I have a job after graduating school in December, I will be moving out to the East Bay area in early January and my mind is all set on picking up a 2015 auto ultramarine FRS as soon as I'm there.

I've seen lots of posts with conflicting info (even for the NorCal area) about whether people had to pay MSRP or could haggle prices down a bit. I've done tons of research on the internet and I have a grad discount but I would still love to hear from you guys. For those of you in NorCal, how much did you pay and when was that?

Thanks all and I look forward to being a part of the club!

I paid $24,995 for my 2015 Hot Lava automatic about three months ago, which was about $1,700 below MSRP. No haggling, and they wouldn't meet my price for my trade-in, so I sold my truck myself. They tried to get me to finance through them at 3.9% as I recall, but I was already looking into a credit union loan at 1.95, so I told them to match it or they wouldn't get any interest. They did.

I was going to wait a few more months before I bought mine, since I did not see any price changes for several months. I figured there would be no hurry since the prices didn't change, and we had a few bills to pay off first. But this one dealer dropped their prices and had exactly what I wanted, so we struck while the iron was hot. If you can afford to wait, then I would suggest you do the same. Find all the dealers nearby and watch their inventory and prices. End of month/quarter/model year tend to see price drops.

The place I bought mine at the time had five cars at the same price, but only one was automatic. A month or two later they had the manual cars for another $1,000 less. Now they seem to have their prices at MSRP.

I paid $25,750 (I think) @ 1.9%

How set are you on automatic? If you are 100% sure then go for it but I am just curious since a lot of the automatic owners I have ran into wish they went manual :iono:

Unfortunately I don't know how to drive a manual. Wish I did though :(
The better gas mileage on the auto makes me feel a little better haha.

I live in the East Bay, and if you are going to be commuting anywhere, you'll get real tired of driving a stick in our traffic. I've driven a manual for 35 years, but was very glad to get an FR-S automatic. Besides, if you want to go "manual", just use the paddle shifters. You can move your left leg up and down if it make you feel better :)
