2015 Steel Scion FR-S Owner

I recently bought a Scion FR-S cost me
$34,000

with APR and Tax
was at 26,000 with AT
Rear Spoiler, Arm rest, rear bumper applique
cost it 27,500
How much was your FR-S without the tax and apr?

then with tax and apr
$34,000

The day I took it home, it had 118 Miles before I saw it on the dealer's lot
And I took it home there was water leaking? Possibly from car wash? Still not sure going to wait it out cause there was also rain the next day.

Asides the water leak the car is great looks sexy and love it.

The topic of this thread is how much did your vehicle cost you, I was told about the scion pure pricing policy and was wondering if it's bullshit and also wondering if you guys have experienced water leaking?

My last question is what are the changes between the 2014 and 2015 Scion FR-S?
I know the Shark Fin Antenna, Large Exhaust tips are a few.
Did Scion really enhance the suspension and retune it?

OH Here I go again!
Pure pricing does not mean all dealers have to charge the same. The MSRP is not the set price that is why it is called "suggested".
It means they have to have the same price on all advertising for the same vehicle in there dealership.
They can charge you $20K or $50K as long as everything is the same.
They can even charge different prices for the same model if they want to. If they want to sell the white for $30K and the Blue for $20K they can.
PURE PRICE - A DEFINITION

Scion Pure Price means the price you see in the dealership, on the dealership's website, or other dealer advertising locations is the price you pay. This applies to the vehicle, accessories, finance rates and insurance products. With Scion Pure Price, you know the price you will pay and you don't have to spend your time negotiating.
WHY USE PURE PRICE?

Our customers told us they want a shorter, simpler process with less pressure - and we listened. With Scion Pure Price, you don't have to negotiate price - or wait for someone to "crunch the numbers."
MSRP VS. DEALER'S PRICE

MSRP is the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price that appears on Scion.com. The price that is shown on your dealer's website, which may or may not be the same as MSRP, is the price you'll pay for your new Scion. Pure Process is a completely transparent pricing system to help save you the time you would otherwise spend negotiating for a "deal."

Thanks! I went to two dealerships both offering me the same prices

$6500 on top of the asking price? Just WOW. Is that a California thing? I'm asking because outside of licensing I paid no more than the price asked.

APR is 3.99% and tax here is 9%

Ouch on both accounts.

I knew all about Pure Pricing before going in for the first time to see an FRS.

My experience was that Pure Pricing went out the window in 2 seconds flat and the dealership "dealed" mightily - exactly the same as every other car I ever bought. Final price wasn't MSRP, or Pure. It was well below invoice and it took haggling to get there.

I know that some pay the Pure Price, it just wasn't my experience.

BTW. how do you get to $34K for God's sake? Is this after you pay all of the interest on your loan??

Ouch. Well anyways, welcome to the club. Hope you get as much enjoyment out of your FR-S as I have. As far as changes for the new model year it's my understanding that they changed the suspension making it a little less tail happy.

Thank you! I've been scrolling through the forums for a couple of days before registering, sick club.

The 3.99% in dollar count is 3550.25

Yes

What was the total of yours? without the APR and Tax too?

Pkush 12-08-2014 08:27 PM

I don't know about tax and whatnot but I paid 27,500 for my Series.Blue + TTL and all the other crap...California dealers don't haggle that much I guess.

BRZ for 27,500 is yours auto?

Tcoat 12-08-2014 08:29 PM

Mine was $30 plus all the fees, taxes (13%) and other stuff which put it pushing $38 (Canada, eh) but I got a pile of extras. Dealer would not haggle on the Pure Price (they can be in big trouble for that) but were very quick to throw in tint, clear bra and spoiler for free and lowering springs, sway bars, TRD intake filter and exhaust at cost, so I did well.

Manual. But it's a limited edition with msrp of 30xxx. I got the appliqué and spoiler. So you've got the armrest I don't have.

Nice, love your motto
First day I took it to a parking lot and parked it officer drives by and asks me if this is my car. Lol.
Second day I took out the dealerships cardboard plate and put nothing but the bolts with the flipped white blank side of the dealerships cardboard plate, surprised no cops have pulled me over.
