Kraftwerks C-30 Silver FR-S on Kijiji, $38k

I was cruising Kiji and saw that past forum member @Ocho Seis has given up his FR-S and is now for sale in Brampton

TL;DR

$38,888 for a Kraftwerks C-30 with Borla v1 UEL, many other goodies

I saw it on autotrader awhile ago...cool car, but it will be a tough sell.

Market for modded frs and BRZ is nonexistent

SLVRSRFR 12-08-2014 02:48 PM

It's been for sale since at least July.

It was listed without a price before. I inquired about it, found out the price, and my interest stopped there.

Burrcold 12-08-2014 02:49 PM

That's damn expensive...

pushrod 12-08-2014 08:44 PM

lol

BRZ'13 12-08-2014 09:06 PM

Should part that out. Realistically it's a fair price considering if you bought every single mod plus the car it would cost more but like mentioned above no one's looking for a car with mods, everyone trying to mod it their way

harkbrz 12-08-2014 09:08 PM

lol wtf. my car has just as much going on as that and I'm selling for 10K less....

Cause realistically that's all you're going to get. Mods simply don't add much in the way of value to a vehicle and in most instances actually lower the value. It sucks for those who don't like to keep a stock car but it's the painful truth when you go to sell it.

harkbrz 12-08-2014 09:25 PM

Definitely better off parting out. plenty of interest. I'm just so lazy.

I work at a dealership and I can attest to this.

Kids coming in all the time with their Civic Si's and Lancers and shit with tons of mods, and expecting to get what the car's worth, PLUS money to "cover" the mods.

Dealerships especially don't give a shit about mods. They look at year, make, model, trim level, mileage, and accident history. That's it. Doesn't matter if your Civic has an exhaust and coil-overs and rims etc. etc. it does NOT add value to your trade-in.

In fact, as mentioned earlier, I find more people are put off by buying a modified car. Number 1, the car was modified according to someone else's wants and tastes and might not suit the new owner. Number 2, there's always the worry (whether it's a false assumption or not) that a modified car has been beat on more than a stock car.

Better to take that shit off before trading the car in, get what your car's worth, and make as much dough as you can selling off your mods on the side.

Honestly best way to sell a used car that has been modded is to un-mod it the best you can to "stock" and then try to sell it. No one is going to buy a modded car... where the hell is the fun in that?

Kazuya 12-08-2014 11:36 PM

Biggest conception for me is that, if your car is modded and for sell, you beat the fuck out of it and I will be offerin you a low price in which I will eventually repair your modified car.
