At $75 for the camera and suction mount, I'm very pleased with my Mobius Actioncam. In addition to using it as a dash/driving cam, I also record autocross runs and track sessions. The only feature it lacks vs pricier units is a GPS receiver.

What is the point of gps? To record where a accident occurred?

I'm assuming to fight speeding tickets in court as GPS is used to calculate speed?

I've been using the G1W-C for 7 months with no problems so far. Great HD quality.

Do you guys know how much memory I would need for a 400 mile drive. With traffic hitting LA, and Anaheim its about a 5.5-6.0 drive. Less time driving back because I leave early in the morning.

I have seen it suggested that GPS in a dash-cam is not a good idea. The reasoning being that even if you weren't speeding at the time of an accident if the recording shows you were exceeding the speed limit 10 minutes ago this could be used against you.

Cheap GoPro. $100-ish's old models. Basic model.

Not officially a dash cam, but quality is amazing. Or BlackVue.

If you've got an android there are a bunch of dashcam apps you can use. Just out your phone on the mount, fire up the app and plug it in for charging and it works like a charm.

Thats what ive been using for a couple months

Cut the video before handing it over?
