Whatever is cheaper

pepe 12-06-2014 05:38 PM

I understand that it is the same thing?

Jman1759 12-06-2014 06:02 PM

Cosworth! Blue filters better than red!

pepe 12-06-2014 06:10 PM

hahahaha, sure?

Mad1723 12-06-2014 07:26 PM

Same thing... Choose the one that matches your eyes

Cosworth is not cleanable. It has the same life as the factory filter. I spent $40 on one to discover that.

Agree with 'whatever is cheaper' comment as they look so similar. I have Cosworth one and don't really feel a difference compared to stock.

I got HKS. It's the only HKS part I'll probably ever afford.

I have had both. The Cosworth is blue and a thinner medium. It did seem to increase power a bit (confirmed by butt dyno). The Apexi is a thicker red medium. I think this is due to the fact that some of the thickness is a pre-filter designed to keep the more restrictive filter cleaner over time. The Apexi seemed to make the intake noise louder than the Cosworth, but then the Cosworth was at the end of its life. The Apexi seems to make as much, or even more power as the Cosworth. Having tried each one, I think I will stick with the Apexi.

I have the cosworth, 'cuz cosworth, fuck yea! I can tell you any filter is better than the stock one. Cosworth is not washable like others have mentioned

Apexi isn't washable either IIRC. On other cars, they're some of the best filters period (flow vs cleaning ability)

Cosworth is a name... and nobody is going to see the filter anyway.

How do you clean the Apexi?
