Salvage parts

Does anyone know the best way to find a salvage car I can get parts from? I called all of the yards in the Portland, OR area with no luck. I'm fixing my BRZ that had some damage in the front right corner. Insurance totaled it and I bought it back. I would really like to find some of the supports. If I buy them new I have to weld them together. All of the damaged parts unbolted from my car with one small exception. What would be really cool is finding a right fender, front bumper cover and hood is ultramarine. I'm sure I'm dreaming with that one.

We got my car from iaai.com but sometimes it may takes months for a car to be auctioned off. Other times only about a week or two. Oh and the only people that can buy them are people with a dealers license /: don't know if that helps at all..

There's a car here in Portland that looks like it will have what I need. The problem is I'm just looking for a car I can strip some parts off. Rather than buying a whole car.

It'll take several years before the salvage value of these cars is low enough at auction for the self-service salvage yards to start buying them. The part-outs are being purchased by used parts dealers who break them up themselves.

You can try Car-Part.com to see if you can find any of the parts you need used. Sometimes after shipping costs you might as well have bought a new part, though.
