I believe there is a divide in our ranks

I have realized that there are two types of twin driver
1) Those that use the headrest
2) Those that do not

Which type are you?

Personally, my head has barely touched the headrest but I have seen people who use it all the time.

nope, I have to lean my head uncomfortably back in order to do so

Are your headrests on backwards?

rxlynn 12-05-2014 08:02 AM

Use it at lowest setting - like everything else in this car, it fits perfectly when I get the seat set in the right place. In fact, I am already starting to realize that I am being spoiled for whatever the next car will be - pretty sure nothing else will fit so well.

Only when I am tired cruising home from an event. And then half the time I forget to turn them back forward after the event too and curse myself on the highway.

Same here. Doesn't matter where I put the headrest height.

I don't use the headrest.

I do flip them on trackdays when I have my helmet on, otherwise it pushes my head uncomfortably forward.

I don't usually use them, unless I'm being super lazy while driving but thats rare. Feels awkward to lean that far back

daiheadjai 12-05-2014 12:37 PM

Hmmm... I'm the opposite... I feel like the headrest pushes my head a bit too far forward.
And when I have a helmet on, the headrest absolutely has to be flipped around or I'd be sniffing the steering wheel.

I usually end up using mine while at stoplights or waiting around, I do find for normal driving it's a bit far back to maintain good vision without having to look down.

I have a neck pillow that is perfect because it sticks out enough to where my head would be if I didn't use the headrest.

haha i do the exact same thing. one time a flipped it around while I was driving... that was an experience.

i dont use my headrest very often, maybe only on long straight drives ill lean back to rest for a few minutes but its still not very comfortable. being 6'5 tho i have the seat as far back as it will go so when i lean my head back into the headrest its almost like im looking up into the roof of the vehicle. lol, not very safe imo

Hah same here. I forgot to flip it back as I was driving home from the track. I don't use the headrest normally, but it felt weird that there was nothing behind my head.

I think the headrests are important for whiplash prevention, so prob best not to drive around with them flipped too often!
