New owner of a CPO (Certified Preowned) BRZ. Question with previous owner's audio mod

Hi Everyone,

Excited to join the FT86 club. I previously owned a 2000 civic SI, then my last car was a St. 2 05 WRX. Now I've moved onto a BRZ and I love it. Realized I would rather have a fun handling car rather than raw power.

Now to get to my question. I own a 2013 Certified Pre-Owned BRZ. The first owner leased the car and returned it and now it's mine. My friend also owns a BRZ and I asked him about an odd switch I found near my right knee on the leftside of the center console in the foot well. It's just regular round switch with an on/off button. I couldn't find out what it was in the owner's manual and my friend told me that was probably an installation the previous owner did. I always thought you had to keep leased vehicles stock, but whatever.

Anyway...so I started playing around with this switch to see what it did and I noticed two things.
1. When I switch it 'on', I notice the volume gets louder on the radio and the bass is increased by at least 50%.
2. When I switch it 'on', it disables blue-tooth connection (greyed out on the touchscreen).

I didn't notice anything else and am curious to ask the community what it could be or if this is indeed some random option I don't know about.

Thanks!

Look it up in the DIY section to see if anyone did a mod like that? That's my suggestion.

I am going to make a guess that this was used for some sort of bluetooth sub-woofer setup. (no audio wires - uses BT to get to the sub)
