I would most likely drive 1 day, would like to split the other day with someone else.

Trying to make it but the numbers are...ouch :mad0259:
+ 595/day track
+ 400 air Southwest fly in Friday, out Monday
+ 100/night est if split rooms
+ 300/day est car rental but have not been able to find any sport cars for rent. Hertz performance line is all out.
~ 2800 total....

Revise the numbers to reflect the fact that you can only do 2-day registration at this time.

Assuming SV allows you to split entry (they are confirming as I type, it's not up to them it's up to COTA), here's an alternative:

Fly in Friday night fly out Sat night
Drive Sat
1x night for hotel

or

Fly in Saturday fly out Sun night
Drive Sun
1x night for hotel

COTA is less than 15 minutes from the airport via side roads, so if you took an 8PM flight out, you have plenty of time to finish a day's worth of driving at the track, grab Waffle House, AND make it to the airport.

I may do this, however I have to be in Las Vegas Monday morning ~10AM for a conference so I might try to drive out there and expense the roadtrip.
