Jackson Racing Supercharger/Delicious Flash & Go ?

Who has this setup? I am looking for feedback on this combination. I already ordered the JRSC and am fairly certain I will go with the flash & go tune. I won't likely install until closer to spring so I have some time to decide on the tune.

The carb tune is probably fine and I know they spent a lot of time fine tuning that, but I would prefer to go with a tune that can be updated if I add other parts in the future.

I am mainly curious about driveability, idle quality and and cold/hot start issues. I have had other cars tuned in the past (LS engines)and was never satisfied with the tunes driveability wise.

I am not looking for the biggest #'s, I just want dead stock drive-ability.

I am located in the cold tundra of Minnesota, so any cold weather feedback would be especially helpful :burnrubber:

Thanks!

Pat

Hi Pat,

I will let you know of all the CARB kits on the market right now the Jackson Racing is definitely the best one. We have been able to add a little more power over their tune and smoothed out some small transitions over the CARB tune but to be honest with you they did a bang up job on their tune and we actually had a hard time making our tune better. The one advantage we have is we can continuously improve upon it and send those updates out to our customers.

We do have one small problem at the moment on our tunes, as it seems under extreme cold conditions the vehicles to do not want to idle until up to more normal temps. This is something we are currently working on updating and should have resolved by the end of the month. We are also working on some small updates for improved fuel economy and more a well blended system between port and direct injection switch over.

Cheers,

We've actually got the cold weather bit figured out now, and cold starts are now as they should be.

Sounds great Zach! I would still love some feedback from someone with this setup in the cold tundra.........

When will you guys be releasing those head units you talked about?

Pat

We're actually thinking of getting a group buy going on the Ca-Fi units. Gauging interest at the moment.

Cool, maybe a discount with the flash-n-go tune?...........

Zach, do you recommend/require an updated manifold pressure sensor with the Jackson racing/Flash-n-go?

Hey Pat,

An updated MAP sensor is required, as or Flash N Go tunes are speed density based. We'd recommend our Delicious Tuning 11 psi sensor, as it is an OEM Denso piece, and much more reliable than many other options that we have seen fail. The radios will likely not be discounted any further than whatever the group buy price is set at.

Sincerely,

The CARB tune is only available through Jackson Racing dealers.

The Delicious tune would bring you out of CARB compliance, but also bring a small horsepower increase.

Mike is correct, we aren't advertising the CARB tune at all; what we're offering is our Flash and Go tune. It would bring you out of CARB compliance, and as Mike says, offer a small power increase. It is, however, a very viable option for owners that are planning on doing other mods to their Jackson equipped cars such as deleting catalytic converters and eventually, adding Jackson's *highly* anticipated pulley upgrade.

Essentially, it's an option for those that want a tune that will remain compatible with their setup when significantly altering the exhaust, increasing boost, and generally not minding whether or not the car stays emissions compliant in California. :)

Yup, two separate tunes at about the same cost. The main reason I am leaning towards the Delicious tune is the ability to add other mods in the future and the race rom features.

The carb tune is locked down and cannot be changed. The Delicious tune can be changed (only by them) if you add other parts such as a header.

Still looking for feedback from someone that has this setup..........

Pat
