GoPro Mounting

I'm getting a Gopro for Christmas! So where are the best spots to mount for autocross/drifting and what do you guys use to mount on the vehicle? Need some different mount ideas for stocking stuffers. Super excited to get some sideways smoking action on film!

Gopro Suction Mount

though I'd probably go on ebay and look for someone selling a bunch of connectors and mounts. $40 is too much just for a suction mount

I use the craven speed tow hook mount [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Subaru-BRZ-GoPro-Camera-Mount/dp/B00J38ULBI"]Amazon.com : Subaru BRZ GoPro Camera Mount : Camera & Photo[/ame]

Thanks! The guy at Best Buy was telling me to use adhesive mounts and I got queasy thinking about it. Thinking about getting a harness bar just for mounting purposes, but I'm afraid it will have a very limited outside view

Yeah its pretty crappy since I tried using the stabilization feature on YouTube but it gives you an idea of what the shot in the front looks like. [ame]http://youtu.be/YLY5Y_vgWCQ[/ame]

Awesome, that's a fast point of view! Have you tried using it in the rear tow hook mount?

nah haven't put in the rear yet

I use this:

Made by these guys:

http://delkin.com/fat-gecko-camera-m...camera-mounts/

It works great! And has so many mounting options, works on almost any smooth hard surface, glass, metal, plastic, etc. I can be broken down into smaller/simpler parts, but using the whole thing its VERY stable. I can shake the car with it, and it is helps create virtually shake free videos even in the rough environment of RallyCross.

oooo I like that! I'm currently using GoPro's single cup mount and it kind of freaks me out just having one cup holding it to the car.

I've stuck mine to the little rear window and it worked well at low speed.
