Seat Height Adjustment
 

I would love to have my passenger seat height adjustable same as drivers seat, however Toyota will not provide me the information to achieve this. Now I know the parts must be available to have my RHD Toyota 86 passenger seat converted as the drivers seat or the parts in LHD vehicles should be a direct replacement. A member of my local club who works for Toyota has been able to find out what parts I need, apparently only 4 parts but I have contacted two international dealers (im in Australia) who deal with LHD versions and neither have responded. Question anyone here can help, or have a standard LHD drivers seat parts/subframe whatever that will do what I want? Reason? well simple wife is short and is sick of looking at the dash instead of out of the window and seat cushions are only ok for a while.

i wonder if you can buy a driver seat from an Asian country (they drive on the right) and replace your passanger seat that way

Will a RHD drivers seat fit in our LHD cars? I want the adjustability for the same reason as the OP, short wife (and kids.)

Other way around guys I need a LHD drivers seat or parts to convert my passenger seat, my car is a RHD. I would prefer parts as my seats are as new car is only 4 months old.

I knew exactly what you meant, I need the same solution for the passenger seat but on a lhd car.

I'm sure there is a parts list for the North American model. You can't just find the part number and give it to a Australian dealer? I know that's how some people were getting bb parts for their xb

I have the part numbers for the 4 parts that I need but Australian Toyota dealers will not/cannot order parts without a VIN which would show those parts are no applicable to my vehicle and therefore they cant order them. Tried two dealers overseas including Village Scion but they have not responded. Not happy with Toyota!!!

That diagram and parts list looks interesting, will give that a try they might respond to that thanks.

Keep in mind that the parts you need will be exactly the same on the BRZ, just with different part numbers. So if you can't get Scion/Toyota parts shipped to you, try Subaru parts suppliers.

Thanks to "sdwagonjp" for the diagram, I've managed to confirm what parts I think I need and have managed to place an on line order for them with Village Scion, hopefully when they arrive it will do the job. Thanks to all that responded. I'll let you know how it goes.
