Mice vs BRZ

So, I moved the vehicle out of the garage this afternoon and stepped back into the garage. On the floor, where all four wheels stood were piles of rubber...I kid you not. Some of it looks tubular, so I am now concerned as to what damage the little critters have done. Anyone else had similar issues?

Were they chewing on the tires?

No, it looks like some tubes of some kind or insulation, possibly. I am reading some stories about biodegradable parts being targets for rodents. It does not sound good.

Oh boy, check under your car for damage. There's no way they could get inside the car I hope.

All 4 corners? WTF?

Stang70Fastback 11-28-2014 11:24 PM

Meh, it started and moved out of the garage under its own power. Clearly whatever came off isn't critical to operation of the vehicle. This car's all about lightness anyway, right?

Brake lines? Better take car and get it on a lift for a thorough inspection.

i think they like engine coolant so give that area a check.

Brake lines were my first worry, too.

Just looked a little harder in the garage and found loads more rubber...my heart is sinking right now.

Leaving the car out all night in the hope they stay in the garage tonight.

That is just crazy, though. Goddamn little fuckers...

I'll bet it's mouse turds and not plastic or rubber. Mice don't just chew on stuff and let it fall to the ground. The only evidence of a mouse you'll typically find is a nest if you have a liner under the hood, frayed wires, or turds.

Buy some mouse traps. Bait with pepperoni. Problem solved.

I know of no mice producing rubbery tube-shaped shit. Pics or gtfo. ;)

OTOH, OP, maybe it's a racoon. They're omnivores and are good at tearing into stuff.
