The car is too new to know. Get a nice set of rims or buy your way into a few HPDEs and wait like the rest of us.

There is no "best" ; only that which you want to do.

Go to a Drivers Racing School. The best mods are the Driver Mods

Besides increasing driver skill,

I would say this car has an excellent chasis that can handle much more power than stock. Increasing hp by another 20-30 hp at the wheels should put this car in a sweet spot IMO.

I was checking out the Axle Back Exhaust from nameless performance, and it sounds good but I can't find if it adds any power or adds more weight..I really like the lightweight aspect of the BRZ, I will be getting mine in November so I still have awhile. Rims could be better..spoiler could be better. Anyone adding a spoiler or are you guys staying stock? As far as what I want to do, I just want to give it some HP increase but not add much weight. Seems everyone is ok with the stock suspensions, so no need to change there. Hopefully try and grab an intake, and headers. Sucks waiting for them to develop all this.:respekt:

The funnest thing about this car (aside from driving it of course) will be deciding how to "enhance" it! I like the fact that Toyota has taken a more bare bones, blank canvas approach to the 86! Since Toyota isn't going to do a performance version of the FR-S, I plan on doing it myself. I'll start with a NA build to create a variant model. (Think Type-R) complete with unique badges!! May stop there to maintain the purity of the car.

Good bit of guidance: if you're remotely interested in autocrossing, go ahead and look at what the different classes (stock, stock prepared, street touring) allow, and plan accordingly. It's always disheartening to go to your first autocross only to find out that something simple like cams gives you the same PAX adjustment as a fully prepared car.

I think if your a fatty(like a BMI of 26 and above), you should be going on a diet. That would be the cheapest and best mod. Increase the power-to-weight ratio.

The best modification you can do right now is to the driver. Go to as many driving events as you can and become a better driver, and completely familiar with the characteristics of the car. Then you can decide what adjustments need to be made to the car.

Good point, just wish I had more time..Life in the Culinary business is nuts. Down here in Texas I know of a few good events. Gotta better myself as a driver for sure..no argument there..Specially with a car as new as this.
