Double DIN kit options

I want to get a standard double din unit and want to know what my options are to make it fit. Is the kit with the 2 side piece 'fillers' my only option or is there something cleaner out there?

Basically get a Toyota double-din head unit (200mm), or a universal double-din (180mm) with the spacers such as the Metra Kit.

Those are really the only options for double din on our cars.

Beatsonic makes a kit also. It includes wiring to help you avoid splicing, where the Metra kit is just the plastic side pieces.

You can do what I did. I bought the Metra kit and sent it, along with the dash pices to JPM Coachworks. They molded them in and covered the entire piece with alcantara. It's pricey, but looks great, and clean.

Idk if I want alcantara. I might get the pieces then maybe fill in gaps and cf wrap. Actually leaning towards a hu that fits in like the OEM unit so may not be a problem

The only units that fill the opening are Subaru and Toyota OEM and a few Chinese Android units. Nothing mainstream will fit without the kit.

Yes, going with an Eonon android unit that fits similar to the CaFi dashlinq4 Toyota universal.
