Top Speed Pro-1 Performance Header

Anyone have any experience with this UEL header? I am in the market for some UEL's and these sound pretty good, and the price is awesome. Just curious if anyone else has tried these out and could give me any feedback?

Thanks!

I bought the top speed EL header. Quality and fit couldn't be better, and love the sound.

IMO and experience, you get what you pay for. Not saying the Top Speed is bad becasue I have never used there product. I would spend the extra money and get the Tomi UEL. Or something

It's on sale here.

if that's not within your budget then its up to you but, I would save up. It would be worth it.

Just my 2 cents. Let us know what you get.

Just to clarify, they don't have an actual UEL. All of their header are EL.

I have the tsudo uel header, it has 1.62 primaries and a 2.5 outlet. the topspeed header has smaller primaries than stock at 1.5, and the outlet was only 2.25. Six months no issues, quality seems good, flat flanges on the header.

I agree in many cases. But the construction, appearance, and fit of the Top Speed header was I would say on par with any other brand I have seen.
Header, Perrin 3" catless resonated exhaust, and Crawford power blocks gained me 17 hp on the dyne and lowered my 30mph to 70mph by 1.5 seconds.
And I love the sound. Listen to this, I am #24.

Yeah I have had my eye on the Tomei. I also like the Borla, but I have read about people having some CEL and fitment issues.. Do you have Tomei? If so, what do you like/dislike?

Yeah I just noticed that. I didn't look that closely at the pictures and it was advertised as UEL where I saw it. I guess that take's this header out of consideration haha

No, I don't, yet lol. Tomi is one of which I am considering.

I like their design, workmanship, and attention to detail. Price wise, I think it's one of the better values out there. Not to mention Tomi's reputation for outstanding quality. These are just my personal opinions based of of my own research. I do not have any personal experience with headers for out cars. My brz is still new to me.

Skunk2 has a new header out that is in that price range. They might be worth checking out too.

I'd also stay away form anything with a flex joint, that's just my 2 cents.

Yeah I've heard from others to stay away from flex joints. Tomei does have a really good looking product, and like I said before, I have only heard good things. They sound really nice on our car's too, that signature boxer rumble/growl.

I believe the 4 into 2 into 1 headers offer more performance because the joining of opposing primaries into 2 helps pull the charge through from the opposing cylinder. That said, is your car an auto or a manual? If auto get a header with smaller primaries, since you'll need more torque, and if manual get a header with larger primaries, since you'll need more power. I have an auto and I went a step further to restrict the primaries with anti-reversion cones to try getting even more low-end torque. I bought the "Scion FRS Subaru BRZ 13-UP TOP SPEED PRO-1 Performance Header Straight Flex Pipe" off Ebay and am currently waiting for my 2nd one to arrive for header-to-header dyno testing to find out if my inserts helped or hurt low-end torque. My current header sounds ideal, not raspy at full throttle, and quiet enough to hold on a conversation at cruising speed.

Oh yea, I read that tread, that's you. I am very interested to see the dyno comparison.
