Does anyone else notice a high pitched squeak while driving ?
Do any of you guys notice a squeak while driving. It happens randomly and repeatedly sometimes. It dosent happen when at idle only when driving. Any ideas?

If it happens only when you apply the brakes ...... it may be that the wear indicators on your brake pads are telling you that the pad thickness is at a minimum.

/QUOTE] Shit dude, you got grasshoppers? Crickets aren't bad enough?? |
yeah I've got a high pitch noise when driving that comes and goes but definitely doesn't happen when I apply the brakes if anything it stops the noise when I apply them

If you can get sound clips maybe somebody can help. Otherwise it could be any one of a thousand different things. There is very little hope that you can describe a noise in writing in any way it can be diagnosed accurately. Even an opinion based on a sound clip is dubious at best.
If you think it is a problem take it in and have it checked. |
AC compressor squeak maybe, my car does the squeak every ~13 secs when the AC is on:

I have particularly good hearing, but the plugged noise generator tube in my compartment in the passenger footwell makes a light squeal when intake pressure increases. Hard to hear most of the time but it's a light, high pitched whistle that goes up and down. The plug isn't fancy, just bare plastic so it lets some noise bleed through.
As others have said, could be pretty much like anything possible. |

Haha no grasshoppers. But all the shots of crickets are kinda freaky. According to Google, that's a green cricket. You gotta get on your Discovery Channel game Tcoat :P |
