That OEM Filter is Better Than You Think
 

High everybody. I found this interesting article while doing some research on air filters. Enjoy!:D

I would agree with saying that you should be well informed on a filters capability of actually doing it's job of filtering out dirt, but they make general conclusions in this article that aftermarket filters can't increase hp with improved flow because all OEM filters will have more than enough flow. This was not the conclusion shown in the testing only the opinion of the dude who copied the testing info into his blog. The takeaway from the test was the apparent trade-offs between optimizing a filter for dirt capturing ability and maximum airflow. This is where I stopped reading.
