last year I test drove a 2006 exige 240S, first impression was wow the looks and style are stunning proper sports car, no carpet 2 seater full bucket seat my kinda car. one owner & a friend so he likes to take it to scca so the car I test drove has an LSD and a aftermarket willwood 4 piston calipers & a section 111 coilover, I got to test drive it on the hills of san diego so that was a treat for me.

love the low to mid range trq of the 2zz sc, getting out of a slow corner was great with its short gear ratio some corners you'll need to short shift keeps you on your toes, love the sc wanging on high revs. Can't complain much cuz, its a aftermarket coilover but when i drove it too stiff on a public road with alot of crest, with a -3 camber and a good advan neova tires the cornering speed was good understeer was noticeable even with a good setup, oversteer was fun MR cars tend to do that i almost lost the back me and the owner looked at each other lol. when you test drive one let me know if this happens to you, on a fast straight hard on the brakes like your exiting a freeway, tell me if the back is twitchy. all in all i wanted one maybe I love the feel I love the noise it makes maybe the closest I'll get on a exotic car but my friends price was too high.

I say go for it. It has got tweaked Toyota engine, so reliability and power together is like best of both worlds.

<-- Biggest Lotus fan on the board, you won't hear a complaint from me. But seriously, if you are looking for practicality, you probably shouldn't be looking for a 2-door, 2 seat sports car, less so a mid-engined one.

do it x4! Right now!
And, personally, I think it's very practical. A guy at my neighbourhood has one and use it as his every day car. Since it's a closed car, the weather is not a problem and you can park it everywhere.
I think that you only have to have in mind that you can't go to the forest to collect wood or carry a fridge. If you are conscious of that (I think you are) you won't find any problem. And if you don't have children, I think that 2 seats are enough for the 95% of the situations, my car is a 4 seater and if it had only 2 I won't find the difference.
If you can afford it, buy it. And post the pictures for us ;)

Go for it!

that's why i sold it to my brother, so i could still see and drive it from time to time.

It will always be in the family, one way or another.

The car has been in the family since it was new from the dealer, it's time for a little change

C-Bone 10-11-2010 08:23 PM

thats cool, at least it'll still be around I guess
