Recommended Painting/Body Shop in East Bay

Fellow FRS/BRZ owners,

My front bumper was backed up into while it was parked by a pickup truck that attempted to parallel park into a tight space.

Since the paint is a Silver Ignition (J8A) for the 10 Series, I was wondering if anyone have a go-to shop for paint jobs as I heard this color is a pain in the butt to match. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Back when I had my RX-8, I had to get a new bumper due to a track incident. I took it here and they did a really good job both with the install and paint work:

Coelho's Body Repair (in Fremont, CA)

The RX-8 was the R3 trim in Aurora Blue which isn't easy to match either.

Hope this helps.

i own a 10 series in san francisco as well, i actually had my rear bumper cracked when i just got the car and my friends dad's shop actually fixed it and repainted it to a basically identical silver ignition color. He made many different 3 tone paints to make sure that the paint properly matched my bumper. The shop was called ATS auto body and the shop owner's name is Andy. Only problem is his shop is downtown and to enter the shop is a little tricky.

I was actually going to go back to his shop soon to repair my front bumper from a deep scrape i got from a gas station in socal.

Hopes this helps. Good luck!

(Also didnt realized we both play Street fighter and own 10 series frs, what are the chances!? lol)

Just wanted to let you know that I took your recommendation into consideration and had the body repair done over at Coelho. Nelson, the owner, was honest and did a great (and timely) job on it. I appreciate your referral! :thanks:

Great. I remember talking to Nelson, he seemed like a good guy.
