Automatic Transmission launch

in my automatic car rev do not goes over 2k at start with launch.

can i solve this problem with ecu tuning?

Nope, that's a limitation of how high the stall speed is on the torque convertor. Without changing the torque convertor there's nothing you can do about it.

You'll want to read up on downsides of higher stall torque convertors before making any decisions though.

If you hold down your brakes about 50%, you can keep the car stopped but launch at 5000. Takes some practice.

I call BS on that... the stock torque convertor won't allow enough slip to get to 5000rpm at a stop in gear.

I'm wondering what's the best rpm to launch at

Incredibly hard to test that on a manual...

The auto I test drove most definitely wouldn't do that though.

Any videos showing yours will do that without doing a neutral drop?

The torque converter multiplies torque.... Seems like a good way to burn out the clutch plates on the AT.

yolo, manumatic 5k launches for days (literally, since at that rate the drivetrain will go kaput in days)

diodelphi 11-22-2014 09:20 AM

i do not think it is possible
some company give you tuned torque converter for 1k $ with increased +700rpm.
