What kind of (non-stock) exhaust do I have?

Hey everyone! Picked up a black frs about two weeks ago used from a dealership. Apparently it's had some work done to it already; new pulleys, and exhaust. The salesman said the exhaust was a Borla, and it was probably factory/ordered that way from Scion when it was picked up. Is this an option? I can't seem to find anything about it. If i post a picture of the tips/underside, is it possible for someone to pinpoint what it is? I'm not having any problems with it, I'm just driving me nuts. I'm too curious for my own good and I want to know some more stats on this particular exhaust (Added power/fuel economy/decibels/can it cook a unladen african swallow).

Thanks!

pretty common for dealerships to install borla catback, but post the pics i'm sure someone will be able to help you out

Picture would be nice and only way to know for sure

Even with a tune, catback alone won't affect horsepower by anything significant in this car, unfortunately. Just make it sound cool, which isn't a bad thing.

Catback exhausts might have a slight harmful effect on fuel economy by removing the, albeit slight, diffuser effect at the rear of the car that the stock muffler provides. Many catbacks weigh significantly less than the stock setup so that is a plus. Other than that, they typically only increase volume. As for what kind you have, it's obviously impossible to tell without a picture.

Wow, they installed a muffler delete. How loud is it on cold start?

It is obnoxiously loud when it's cold. People know when I'm leaving my house in the morning. It's not too bad when in the car and cruising though.

Looks like the Berk Dual Tip muffler delete.

Definitely a Berk dual tip

That would be illegal on the road here. I'm amazed a dealer sold it like that.

Good lord....that's all I got.

Malt 11-19-2014 09:27 PM

There's no way a dealer installed a Berk muffler delete. Its way more likely that the previous owner installed it and just traded it in with it on there.

I haven't run into trouble yet with it...is that something that's considered illegal in the states? I'm kind of a noob when it comes to car modding. I just love driving a lot/long distances, lol.
