first time running Slick tires... Pedal dance or normal 5sec trac off?

So, first time running slick tires on an track day next week. What do you guys recommend for a fairly newbie (only 1 year track experience)? not going for the fastest times or anything like that, just wanna see the difference when running slick tires. Should i do the pedal dance? or stick to normal track control off?

thanks!!!

Change one variable at a time.

If you normally pedal dance when not running slicks, then pedal dance with them on.

what tire exactly are you running on when you refer to "slicks"

everything off IMO... I like to have complete control. Sometimes if the stability control tries to kick in with stickier tires it can have weird affects, for example if your losing control and it brakes the front right wheel, with a slick it might cause more problems than it would be solving then compared to a regular factory tire, even more so if you are running staggered fitment.

100% agree with this.

1000% agree with this if you haven't done TC off before.

Also, for future reference, talk about days on track not "1 year". Talking in years carries little meaning since that could be anything from one day on track to 355 days on track.

I too am curious about what you mean by slicks. Full tread R-Comps? Shaved R-Comps? DOT-legal slicks? non DOT-legal (ie. missing the grooves) slicks?

Dont know how to call them. Its a set of tires thats used on argentinian championship races. I think it would be a full R Compound. Ive done 5 track days with this car, and 2 full races on a brazilian amateur championship+ a lot of practice runs on a full built race car (no aids whatsoever) . I have run TAC off once, rest of the time was on sport mode. The thing im most worried about its the behavior of the car on the track. I dont want the car to brake in the middle of a turn because it thinks its loosing control. As you guys said, with normal tires this would be OK, but would happen on super sticky tires?
Thanks and sorry for not providing more info before.

Is there a brand on the sidewall? Could you post some pics?
