Strange clicking sound when clutch is engaged?

About half the time when I parallel park I hear a clicking sound. The click happens only when I have the clutch engaged just when the moment the car is fully stopped or ant speed. One week in late summer, pressing the clutch in neutral at a full stop made a lower sounding click but now its gone.

I tried to replicate many times in neutral but no clicking sound to eliminated the transmission as the source.. Additionally, I noted one time in another thread that a few months ago I rolled slowly into up a steep hill in first at walking speed. I gently applied throttle, then heard a loud click sound similar to when I park. I've always prided myself on protecting the transmission so hopefully it is a minor repair. Regardless, off to the dealership this afternoon.
