FRS auto -slow acceleration at 70km/hr
I got a new 2015 automatic model, still breaking in. Anyone find they need to step harder on the acceleration in order to accelerate over 70km/hr? I keep rpm below 3k would that be why?

you have to rev these motors to get up and go

It's just the nature of the FA20 you have to push it to get it to where you want however your small description seems to be your noticing the torque dip maybe?

The best part of the power band is above 6000 RPM roughly. If you are still breaking it in, you are probably capping your RPM to 4000ish. Just wait until you can wind her right to redline and you will feel better about the power. Just don't think that you are going to be able take on Mustangs and Genesis 3.8's without adding some sort of FI.

The AT is going to slow off the line by default due to the nature of an auto-trans anyway. Once you get past the break-in, it pays to keep the RPM around three k if you know you are going to need acceleration. It's the curvy bits where the fun lives!
