Mom's Reaction to FRS, S2000 and Miata
I figured I throw this here since, it's a slightly amusing 2 minute time kill.
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzFtXGcwmu4"]VLOG 6: Mom's Reaction to FRS S2000 and Mazda Miata - YouTube[/ame] She liked the S2000 best was most afraid of the FRS as it's pretty stiff. |
My 78 year old mother loves to ride in my FRS and will find any excuse to get me to take her someplace.
Mind you she used to drive nothing but early 60s T Birds and Mustangs so I guess it comes naturally. |
hysterical. love this, Mark!

That clip really shows the one and only thing that I dislike about the FR-S. The engine sound on both the Miata and s2000 are just so much better than that Subaru engine, in my opinion.

I'll agree compared to an S2000 but imo the Miata just sounds mediocre sounding (which is where I see the stock FRS engine being as well) |
I will just leave this here.

Savage what does your mom like best? I take it your mom has also had her share of entertaining cars?
My mother had many sportier cars then even I and at age of 73 she still has a heavy foot. :) |
A bit hidden underneath his video.

She always loved cars but never got to own anything good unfortunately. What cars did you mom have? |

I really disliked the stock FR-S engine sound, but with a UEL header + exhaust, the FA20 jumped straight to the top of my list of best sounding 4-cyl engines. I've owned a few that sounded good in the past (Honda K20 and B18, and Subaru EJ257) but this one is probably my favorite. |
