Quick Question

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question when driving with the car still in the warm up process MOSTLY do you ever hear loud noises from the rear the easiest way to describe it is as if there was rocks banging of each other in the boot/trunk of the car, if so what is this noise?

Thank you

Ive heard it also a few time driving to work in the morning...no idea what it is. I thought it was my tires kicking up small rocks in the wheel wells

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust?

First time thats what thought but the noise isn't tinny as it would be with small rocks hitting of metal its deep:iono:

I think it might be the aftermarket exhaust during the cold start routine, someone posted a video of it before. Not sure if it's hitting something or its just the system itself.

Nailed it!
May be a little loose when cold and tightens up as it heats. You would be amazed at how much an exhaust system will expand and contract with temp changes.
My Talon used to do that all the time.
Nothing to worry about.

My vote is rear deck pop. First time I heard it I thought it was something swinging around whacking stuff under the rear bumper. Wife and I kept looking at each other with that "WTF?" expression.

Once I figured it out I got over it. I don't see any reason to go in there digging around bending shit just for some sticky sealant.

Immediately thought of this poor guy.
