Body shop in Portland

Very sad day. Someone pulled out in front me and I couldn't stop in time. I think I was going about 10-15 when we hit. I love my car and it's very depressing to see it in the condition it's in. Fixing it will be fully covered by insurance and I understand that in Oregon I can take it wherever I want. Anyone have any recommendations (I don't car how much their insurance has to pay) where the best place to go in Portland is?

That sucks

No chance to total it out? Looks like the front bumper beam might be broken/tweaked which would put some serious force into the frame.

No personal experience here, but I have a few friends who have had 6 figure cars repaired at the following
-Active Auto Repair
-Europa Auto Body (not sure if they do Japanese cars)
-Tualatin Auto Body

I'm sorry to see that my 86 brother (or sister). I've been through this with other cars and although it hurts at first, after it gets fixed you will soon forgot about it. With that said, I believe that @stockysnail (Josh) has nice things to say about Europa.

Superior Auto Body out in Gresham did my body kit and the paint is perfect. Great guys to work with! The tech that worked on my car has a classic 46 pickup custom rebuilt. He knows his stuff!!

Oh and I love your photos of the car on the bridge. I'd pay to have photos that nice of my car and me. Know how I could have some taken?

I highly recommend Kadels.

My buddy who has a GTR found him on a GTR forum. He was passing through Portland on his way back to California from Seattle. At the time he was just getting started and was just looking to build up his portfolio. I'm not sure how much it would cost now.

Sorry to see this happen man. . I know the pain because the exact same thing happened to me

My advice is to push them to call it totaled and get a new one. These cars being so light and small it'll never be the same being fixed unless all it is is bumper damage. In my accident both air bags popped and the front end was dented right in.

I agree with Kadels, they're a great shop and do high quality work and also Beaverton Auto Body, they are the preferred shop for Sunset Audi and Porshe. I worked at Enterprise out in Beaverton for about 2 and half years and those two shops always got the best feedback. I personally have had work done at Kadels.

Sorry to see this happen to you, I know the feeling, it sucks.

I don't think there's any frame damage. My air bags didn't pop. The right fender, hood, bumper and headlight sustained most of the damage. The impact missed the lower part of my bumper where the supports are. Probably because my car is so low. I'm able to drive but wheel is rubbing with plastic wheel well so I can't go far. It drives straight. I took it to Mackin's because their just around the corner. They gave me a preliminary estimate of $5.5k. It has to be 80% of the value to be totaled. I don't think it's going to be near that.

Ahh ok ya that isn't that bad then, you got lucky

They're actually going to total my car. I learned that if you push for diminished value right off the bat they are much more likely to total it. Also, I think the guys at Leif's helped me out. Now I'm in the market for a new car.

Are you able to part out your non stock pieces before it gets bought by someone? I'd love the lip kit and TOMs. Thinking about buying another BRZ?
