The ads and attack campaigns were worse this year than ever before in Colorado. Personally I'm getting really sick and tired of the finger pointing, name calling, bashing, and shit talking. I'm getting sick and tired of money controlling politics.

All these commercials make me think of high school.

I'm still waiting for a politician to promise me free soda in vending machines and better cafeteria food.

I hope the phone calls stop. I've gotten 5-10 calls a day, mostly recordings for political stuff.

It doesn't matter. In three months when the Republicans haven't fixed everything and given everyone a big screen tv and an iphone 6, people will be calling for them to be removed from office too. I think people think the government has a magic wand that cures all ills, and they get upset when it turns out not to be true.

Its always the same, regardless of who is in the offices.

And all this transcends parties, political systems and boarders cuz it is exactly the same up here!

I attribute it to the instant gratification complex that people have developed. They no longer realize that it takes years, sometimes decades, to fix problems that have been decades in the making. And that sometimes the fix is going to hurt while it's being done.

No matter who gets elected, those same people bitching will continue bitching

In 2016 whoever wants to lower taxes and cut spending gets my vote. The rest, people are gonna complain either way.

I'm not even in the US, but it looks to me like gas prices are down, unemployment rates are down, and stock markets are making record recoveries, everything a republican cares about. I don't see how Obama did a bad job..... of course, nobody is happy about universal healthcare, but I don't see how that's changed anything except for make those who signed up able to actually get care... eventually. Just like in Canada, and most of the "socialist" world.

Because it's not government-run universal healthcare, it's government-mandated that we purchase healthcare from private companies. Plus, a lot of people now pay a lot more to support people who don't make enough to pay for their own. It's really only a good deal for people who don't have to pay. Also, a lot of people on hourly wages have gotten their hours cut, because it redefined "full time" as 30 hours a week and said employers must provide healthcare for all full time employees. Plus, people have lost great plans that worked well for them in favor of marginal crap that costs a lot more. Finally, we're paying for shit we don't need. I'm forced to carry coverage for women's health, maternity care, birth control, mammograms, etc... I'm male, will not be having kids. Why should I pay for that?
