Would you consider this?

So I found a Firestorm FRS with 12k Salvage title I've already taken it to both a toyota dealer & an Indy shop for a pre inspection, there is no frame or engine damage at all, the engine is in perfect condition with the TRD package. I have all passed documents of the inspection from both toyota & the body shop It drives amazing also. I was planning on getting it they priced it at 14,500. Which is I guess okay but pretty pricey. Anyways my main worry was resell value if I ever want to come back to a truck or something. I was considering getting this frs & putting good coil overs Vossen Wheels, The gialla Corsa Body kit. Do you think if I upgrade the car a little would it help it maintain it's Value? Here are some photos of the frs. Would I have trouble selling it or anything when it's time?

When I normally intend to make a purchase, priority number one for me is peace of mind... Even if I have to pay a bit more.

Upgrades or modifications normally don't add value to the car unless you find that specific buyer who appreciates the modification, but I wouldn't expect it.

Keep the search going. If you feel this is the right car, then go for it. Worst case scenario, hopefully you'll learn from any mistakes you have made.

If you're truly on a budget, I'd hold off on a purchase... Otherwise target a well-maintained and legitimate pre-owned FR-S / BRZ.

You get what you pay for, usually.

Do you have pictures of the damage before the repairs were done? If not stay far away!

You can already find some clean titles for $18-$19k. So if you wait a year or until the next generation comes out. You might be able to get closer to $15k.

I guess you're waiting for someone to tell you to buy it?

If you buy this car, you should assume that you will never be able to sell it. Salvage cars are really hard to get rid of. Consider this one a project for when you buy your next car if you do decide to pick it up.

haggle them down to 10k

then get it.

drive it for 2 years.

drop an ls7 into it.

drive it for 2 more years.

crash it.

buy another one.
