Any of you guys have a good alignment shop you would recommend? I am posting here because I recently did some suspension work and need an alignment for track purpose. Basically looking for a good shop that will take care of my car and do the job to my specifications.

I used these guys for my last alignment and really liked them. They do everything manually and to your spec, no lasers that could be out of whack. Also, they use pull-up racks, no ramps - which is awesome for us that are lowered.

EDIT: So the guys at Jack's are still great, but I won't be going to them anymore. Go see Alan (AZFA20) if you need an alignment. He does amazing work at a very fair price, who else can get a PERFECT 50% crossweight?

Kev, What is the cost of the Porsche Club run?

Sorry, meant to update this earlier....

$150 for the PCA event. Beginners welcome. Message me for registration details if you'd like in.

I don't think I'll be at this one - I need to install a tranny and oil cooler before my next outing. :/

That doesn't mean you can't run your car out there without coolers, it's just that I run E85, have a sort of aggressive tune, and I drive like an asshole. :D

Many on here would also recommend Alan @AZFA20 he also does it by hand and is an FRS/BRZ enthusiast. He's done lots of stuff on many of our cars.

What the hell did you do to the trans? See, this is why we can't have nice things.

EDIT: or do you mean you're installing a big, bearded man in a dress in the vehicle?

Yes, I need the big, bearded man in a dress as motivation to keep going faster... :burnrubber:

With the auto trans on the track it can't dissipate heat fast enough between sessions so I need an auxiliary cooler to protect her and keep the shifts nice and tight. Remember I run flappy paddles. :D

I guess I didn't realize this was an issue. Never thought about it since I've only driven stick the last 15 years. What does the MT do that an AT can't for heat dissipation?

rather than jack a thread, maybe I should :search:

In an auto the fluid is a 'traction device' inside the torque converter so it gets waaaaay hotter than just being a lubricant between gears. And as viscosity changes, so does the fluid pressure, and shift points move based on pressure.

This is my first auto and I've been driving since 1984 - I've had to learn a lot!

The best illustration I've ever seen:

I do all forms of track prep, repairs, alignments, corner balancing, you name it I can do it. No job too small or too large. All my lifts are setup for very low cars.

Thanks to everyone who recommends my services, greatly appreciated!

Folks, go see this guy, he knows his stuff.

After an alignment and corner balance, my car has never felt better and it is immediately noticeable. Perfect 50% Crossweight? No problem...

Please note that a Vortech SC and Mishimoto OC will add weight to the extreme front.
