[OFT] Interest in Data Logs vs. GTA Fuel Grades

I just received my OFT from Mr. BRZWORLD before he left for SEMA.

Is there any interest in gathering logs on Stock or Stage 1 tunes on Shell 91, Esso 93, Petro Canada 94, and Costco 91? I know I was always curious myself to see it first hand.

I drive about 500 ish km a week so I could get perhaps a decent amount of pulls.

The only thing with this experiment would be that I am unaware exactly when winter blend would kick in (or did it already), and what affect it would have on the logs (if any).

:thanks:

I've been on OFT stage 2 bpb for a while now on 91 oct. I've had the best luck with shell 91 ethanol free.

At minimum, just watch IAM, it should stay at 1 constantly with occasional drops to 6.
Lower readings indicate knocking , time to change to a different gas.

When you find the gas with no knock then play if you want, Shiv can tune specifically for your car when you send in your logs.

Don't mess with anything unless you are a tuner, let Shiv do it.

First step is to re-scale the MAF so you're not getting large trims. Once that is done and you have small, stable, trims (both LT and ST), then you can look at knock.

If you're going to look at knock, log IAM, FLKC, KC Learned and Knock Count. IAM drops from too much know, but you want to know what kind of knock, and where/when it's happening.

@wparsons do you think it's a bad idea to scale MAF at this temp range?

MAF scaling does take IAT into account, but I would recheck it in the spring/summer. Worst case you have two scales, winter and summer.
