Clutch Break-In?
Hey everyone, I just hit 1200 miles in my frs. I learned how to drive stick in this car, so the clutch has seen some rough times :( I did notice recently that shifts have been really smooth and not as jerky. My question, is there a break in period for clutches?

When I have bought aftermarket clutches in the past they had a little blurb about how to drive at first to break them in. Your at 1200 miles so you should be good to go.

New clutches do need to be broken in. I'm not sure if they are from the factory from the run-in. Basically a new clutch doesn't have the full face contacting the flywheel and pressure plate. They're broken in when they are fully contacting. It could be that it broke in making it smoother or just more practice and you got smoother. When I first got in my car I didn't really know how to drive stick, got funny looks from the salesmen at the dealer as I drove it off the lot in my glamorously jerky fashion.
