Picked up a Firestorm FR-S MT today!
 

Hello All!

I have been looking over this forum for quite some time and was convinced last October that I was going to own an FR-S. I am an Internet Manager for a Toyota/Scion dealer, so when I saw my Scion rep in November, I mentioned to her I wanted a White 6spd first allocation for myself and she promised it.

Time ticked by and I was getting tired of my 08 Civic SI. I loved the car, I hated the people that were associated with it. Finally January 1st, I cracked. I leased a 2012 Camry SE V6.

Of course, on January 5th, Scion announced the first 86 program and I was devastated.


March rolled around and I got a call from my Scion rep, my store was #3 in the region and she wanted to know what I wanted my first 3 FR-S to be. Of course, I picked Whiteout, Hot Lava, and Firestorm, all equipped with the 6MT. Knowing I wasn't going to be able to get one, due to my recent lease, I just picked the colors I liked and fulfilled my original request.

Well May rolled around and they showed up in my dealer inventory with port dates. I met a guy, you all know him on here as JDMRolla, who was looking for a white 6spd, and immedieatly secured it for him. May 31st rolls around, the whiteout show up. I was floored. I couldn't believe what i was seeing, but I managed to talked myself out of it.

Well then June 2nd rolled around and my Hot Lava and Firestorm showed up. Once again in awe, I had already sold the Hot Lava, so I contacted the owner and stared at the Firestorm.

After PDI, I moved it around to the front line and glared at it all day. Right around an hour before closing I spoke with my Used Car Manager and he agreed to payoff my Camry. That was all she wrote. Got to work this morning, wrote it up, had it cleaned, and just stared at it parked in delivery all day.

Very excited for this car. Just gotta make sure it doesn't break the bank. I'm looking at so much there already is to offer. Going to keep it nice and clean for a while to see how I like it. Take it to autocross and really get a feel for what the car was built for.

June 12th I am scheduled to go to ride and drive at RIR, so I can't wait to get behind the wheel on a real track, especially with a professional driver as a coach!

My SI was Rallye Red and I really loved it. I think that is what made me jump and finally do it. We have it on display at my dealership so people can at least see what they look like, considering we sold out the second they came in hahaha.
